Empowering your spiritual journey with Bible principles
Empowering your spiritual journey with Bible principles

New Life Center of Truth was founded in 1984, by the Reverend Dr. Evelyn Rose John. We are a new thought ministry based on the practical teachings of Jesus Christ, and believe in a positive approach to life. We seek to accept the good in people from all walks of life. Our Center seeks to relate religion to daily needs, affirming that for every need there is God's perfect answer.
Our ministry's main textbook is the Bible, and we focus on how its lessons relate to life and everyday experiences. We teach people how to live fully in the present, seeing the good in all things. We also believe in eternal life and view the present moment as part of eternal life.

New Life Center of Truth does not impose any financial burdens or pressures on its members and supporters. We believe the desire for giving should be initiated from within the giver to reap the joys of sharing. Consequently, all support is by freewill offerings and tithes.

In summation, we emphasize the divine potential within every child of God, and teach that through a practical understanding and application of what Jesus taught, every person can realize and express his or her divine potential for a happier, fuller and more successful life.
We honor the memory of our beloved Rev. Dr. Evelyn Rose John, (2018), an inspirational leader and an accomplished soprano of international acclaim, whose vision and hard work fostered the creation and building of this esteemed organization. Starting with a rented space in 1984, she later acquired a rundown tire shop, and built an amazing place of worship and fellowship. Under her leadership, the church grew steadily and became a cherished spiritual home for many in the Guyanese community, while remaining open and welcoming to all.

We also honor the memory of our beloved Rev. Dr. Helen Rose John (2020), a dedicated pastor with a beautiful soul. After our founder's transition, her daughter, Rev. Dr. Helen Rose John, continued her work and faithfully shepherded the congregation, nurturing and continuing this great legacy until her transition.
May they rest in peace.
